Cavani Says His Goodbyes To Teammates At PSG

Manchester United and Chelsea target Edinson Cavani has reportedly said his goodbyes to his Paris Saint-Germain teammates as he prepares to leave the club.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) striker Cavani, 32, is reported to have said his farewells to his teammates after announcing his exit from the club to them.

The reports come as the striker has been heavily linked to several top Premier League clubs such as Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, he is expected to make a move to Atletico Madrid with reports of the striker’s agent already landing in the Spanish capital for negotiations.

Local media report despite the two clubs still being in the process negotiations, the move is in its final stages and is expected to be finalised before the end of the transfer window on Friday 31st January.

The Spanish club giants have reportedly offered PSG 15 million EUR (12.65 million GBP) for the striker, however, it is unclear if the Parisian club will accept the offer.

Cavani has struggled for game time at PSG with the arrival of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi on-loan from Inter Milan.

Cavani has appeared in 14 matches scoring five goals this season and is PSG’s all-time highest goalscorer with 198 goals.

He has been in the French capital since his move from Napoli in 2013 and has helped them win Ligue 1 five times.
