Now he has raked in an amazing second win of USD 2 million (GBP 1.6 million) with a USD 20 (GBP 16) Diamond Dazzler ticket, bought from Handy House on Arendell Street in the town of Morehead City, Carteret County.

Astonished Pharris said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: “I didn’t know if I was dreaming or not. I was just in shock for a while.”

Struggling to believe his own luck, he recalled how he called his wife and told her: “I did it again.”

Pharris added: “It’s crazy because the day before I won, my buddy was asking me how it felt to win USD 1 million [GBP 811,470]

“And I told him that I was going to double it.

“It’s cool because the first time I won it was two miles from my house and this time I was four and a half hours away.

“What are the chances of me being down there at that exact moment in time?”
