CACKLING KILLER SET MUM AND BABY ALIGHT: Life Behind Bars For Jealous Love Rival

A woman who cackled as she doused her childhood friend and her one-year-old son son in alcohol before setting them on fire has been jailed for life.

Evil Liz Magnolia Ortega Castillo laughed as victim Laura Abril Delgadillo screamed in agony as she tried to put out the flames, a court in Argentina heard.

Laura’s defenceless son Liam Benjamin Sanchez died after sustaining burns to 90 per cent of his body.

His mother only survived because she rolled in a puddle of water, helping to put out the flames, said prosecutors.

The sickening attack outside the family home in Rafael Castillo, Argentina, in September 2021, was prompted by jealousy, said judges.

Despite being friends since school, Ortega, 24, wanted revenge after Laura began dating her former boyfriend, the court heard.

Judges at the court in La Matanza county sentenced Ortega to life behind bars after finding her guilty of aggravated murder and aggravated attempted murder.

It means she will not be eligible for parole until September 2056.

Her partner Alberto Adolfo Gerasimchuk, 23 – who drove the getaway car – was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
