This is the moment a shopping channel host tries to demonstrate the resilience of a “shatterproof” plate but she ends up dropping it onto the floor and it breaks into hundreds of tiny pieces.

The hilarious scenes were recorded on the Malaysian shopping channel Go Shop as host Fauziah Gous was showing viewers the “shatterproof” quality of the plates she was selling.

In the video, she can be seen holding the plate in her hand as her co-host covers her eyes before she drops it onto the studio floor.

The plate instantly shatters and Gous is speechless but her quick-thinking co-host saves the day by saying she thinks the plate Gous dropped had already been thrown to the floor “many times”.

The video has received over 514,000 views and netizens were quick to praise the co-host for her save.

Other users claimed the plates had to be dropped flat on the floor to stop them from shattering.

Go Shop is part of the Astro satellite TV provider which operates in Malaysia and Brunei and has around 3.4 million pay TV subscribers.

Go Shop is the provider’s shopping channel and is similar to the QVC channel in the UK.
