This is the moment – seen over eight million times online – a loyal boy kicks a car and shouts angrily at its owner after the motorist hits him and his mum in the middle of a zebra crossing.

The clip captured at a junction in Chongqing Municipality’s Dadukou District, which is in south-western China, shows the child and his parent expecting the white SUV to stop as they use the pedestrian crossing.

In the video dated 4th December, the mother and son pay no attention to the vehicle slowly approaching from their left, and they are both knocked to the ground moments later when the car does not stop.

The concerned boy tries to pick his mother up off the ground, but the injured parent cannot stand.

The child turns his attention to the car, kicking the vehicle’s front bumper before pointing angrily at the motorist who opens the driver’s side door to check on the victim.

Local authorities said the guilty motorist later drive the mother and her son to a local hospital.

They suffered no serious injuries, the police said.

The SUV owner was given full liability for the traffic incident for failing to yield to pedestrians.
