This is the moment floodwater fills the valleys and usually arid landscape near the border of the United Arab Emirates and Oman following heavy rains that forced the authorities to issue a weather warning.
The incident was filmed in the municipality of Al Ain in eastern United Arab Emirates (UAE) near the border with Oman, and the authorities urged residents not to visit ravines and valleys in the area.
According to local media, a huge downpour on Sunday morning flooded vast areas of the municipality and locals were instructed to not leave their homes unless necessary.
Residents were also urged to call the authorities if they encounter flood damage at home or in the neighbourhood, according to local media.
The most affected areas were reportedly near the Buraimi border crossing in Al Saa’ and Umm Ghafa while the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warned that further downpours are expected throughout the rest of the week.

The authorities hope the conditions will clear before the weekend.
Local media said that Jebel Hafeet, Abu Dhabi’s highest mountain at 1,240 metres, was flooded by rainwater which sent water cascading down its cliff face.
Meanwhile, residents posted videos of the flooded landscape as well as a line of SUVs trying to cross a waterlogged ravine in Al Ain.
