This is the moment a young boy bravely defends his mum when they are targeted by carjackers after parking outside their home.
The incident took place on Chiclana Street in the locality of Bernal located in the partido of Quilmes in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires when the mother arrived home with her son in a grey Citroen C3.
In the footage, uploaded to YouTube and viewed 150,000 times, the woman and boy are seen parking on the roadside and taking belongings from the boot.
In that moment, the three suspects approach them from different angles and steal the mother’s belongings during a struggle before jumping in her car.
During the altercation, the brave youngster is seen defending his mum before being pushed to the ground. He then springs to his feet and fights back, kicking out at one suspect before being ushered away by his mother.
The woman then manages to retrieve several items from her car before the gang-of-three drives away in her vehicle.
According to local media, the woman’s husband reported the robbery to the police afterwards and said that the perpetrators were unarmed.
The investigation into the theft is ongoing.
