Boy, 16, Falls From Seventh Floor Trying To Escape After Walking In On Drugs Deal

This 16-year-old boy who fell from a seventh-floor window after walking in on a drugs deal has survived but is in critical condition in hospital.

The tragedy happened when the schoolboy, identified only by his initials f. K., Went to visit a friend who lives in a seventh-floor flat in the Mesopotamia Quarter of Diyarbakir in Turkey yesterday (21st June).

The youngster had walked into the property unaware that there was a drug deal going on inside and he walked right into the middle of the transactions that involve an armed gang.

It is unclear if the drug transaction was taking place in the apartment of the friend who was visiting or somewhere else on the seventh floor.

What is known is that the schoolboy was threatened with a gun, and fearing that he was about to be shot, try to escape from the building but fell onto the concrete below.

CCTV footage shows his shadow as he plunges towards the ground and seconds later his body appears in the frame as he thuds into the concrete.

The sound of the fall alerted ground floor residents who raise the alarm with police and medics, who rushed to the scene and confirm that the boy was still alive.

He was taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.

An investigation into the incident has begun with police quizzing those involved.
