A mum investigated by cops for forcing a nine-year-old to kneel down and ask for forgiveness for upsetting her son and who also beat a 12-year-old girl who offended her a short while later has had her children confiscated.

The incident came to light when video footage was revealed showing the boy, reportedly aged 9, being forced to kneel on the ground and ask for forgiveness from a younger boy, said to be the son of Yulia Barabanshchikova, 35.

The incident happened in a playground in the city of Krasnoyarsk in the Russian federal subject of Krasnoyarsk Krai on 13th June.

The mother decided to intervene after accusing the nine-year-old of bullying her boy, 5, and made him kneel down and ask for forgiveness and apologise in front of other children’s parents.

The scene was filmed by an onlooker who shared it online, and the footage shows how other parents got involved to free the nine-year-old, which resulted in a fight starting between the woman’s partner and those that were trying to stop her.

The nine-year-old’s mother then filed a complaint with cops, who questioned her after the footage was shared online.

She was also quizzed about another incident that happened a few days later where the mother of the five-year-old was accused of attacking a 12-year-old girl while drunk.

During the investigation, social workers investigated her for failing as a parent to properly educate her children in their obligations and duties, and as a result, her children were confiscated and placed into care.

A review is expected of the social worker’s position after the completion of the two criminal cases involving the nine-year-old boy and the 12-year-old girl.

The two children who were confiscated were reportedly aged five and eight.
