Bovine And Cyclist Electrocuted In Flooded City Street

This is the moment a bull is zapped as it walks through a flooded street in India and then seconds later a cyclist is also electrocuted.

CCTV footage shows how the animal collapses after slowly prowling a narrow market street in the city of Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh State.

A van can be seen approaching slowly from behind but suddenly stops at the bend. It reportedly carried schoolchildren, of whom no one was harmed.

Moments later the cyclist attempts to pass the lifeless heifer without touching the water.

But the skinny tall man slips from his bike, plunges into the water just a few inches from the dead cattle and disappears.

He reportedly survived the incident that was reported by local media on 4th August.

It is understood that the water had been made live by a poorly installed electric pole affected by the flooding.

The occurrences have intensified as the pressure on the authorities to improve local infrastructure and safety measures.

Uttar Pradesh is one of the most populous states in India and faces challenges with underfunded infrastructure in certain areas.

This is particularly true in rural areas, where access to basic amenities like clean water and electricity can be limited.

The state government has implemented various initiatives to address these issues, but progress has been slow.
