A blonde Ukrainian refugee who ran off with a love rat Brit just 10 days after moving into his family home has been found begging for cash at Leeds airport.
Sofiia Karkadym, 23, had been taken in by dad-of-two Tony Garnett, 30, and his partner Lorna, 28, last year after fleeing her home in Lviv during Russia’s invasion of her homeland.
Within days, besotted security guard Tony had left his home in West Yorkshire to set up a new life with his lover.
Months later, Sofiia hit rock bottom after the couple broke up and was arrested after attacking a cop.
During a raucous domestic row at their home in Bradford, she bit the policeman on the finger and was charged with assault, which she admitted at a court hearing in July.
Now on 4th December at Bradford Magistrates Court, Sofiia was ordered to pay GBP 150 to PC Andrew Jordinson.
It is believed that she had flown in from Ukraine to attend the hearing.
It later emerged that shameless Sofia had apparently also been begging on social media to get cash and a place to stay.
In a social media post she told how she is now homeless and had no money.
She said: “I am in Leeds Airport and happened that I have nowhere to stay and can’t use my bank card. And it’s freezing. Can anyone help, please?”
Earlier, the court had heard that Sofiia had bitten the PC because she was upset because she had learned that one of her friends had been killed in the war.
PC Andrew Jordinson told the court: “The defendant looked down and then bit my hand between the thumb and finger in my right hand.
“I cried out and pushed her to the floor to prevent her biting again.”
Tony’s former partner of ten years Lorna told how Sofiia would wear low-cut tops and heavy make-up to woo Tony.
She said she was left like the “third wheel” in the relationship and “unwelcome in her own home”.
Tony and Sofia moved into a rented cottage in Bradford but broke up just a few months later.
He later described their romance as “complicated”.
