This is the moment wheels come bouncing off a moving lorry before smashing into a car on a busy road.

The freak accident in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province in South China, was captured by a traffic camera which showed the lorry on 20th December.

In the video, numerous vehicles are seen travelling underneath the Huangcun overpass when the set of double wheels suddenly rolls out from underneath the heavy goods vehicle.

The large wheels hit the concrete median strip and then bounce up against one of the bridge piers before springing towards the road.

It bounces three more times before it crashes right onto the roof and windscreen of the passing white saloon car, which is stopped in its tracks.

An image taken in the aftermath shows the roof of the car having caved in, with the large wheels still lodged on top of the vehicle.

Guangzhou traffic police said the saloon owner suffered minor injuries, but the car’s windscreen, roof and dashboard were badly damaged.

The driver of the articulated lorry has since been identified and summoned.

Further investigations are ongoing, the police said.
