Alexis Sanchez has posted on social media saying people have “talked sh*t” about him but says he has “stayed quiet” through the criticism as his good Copa America form continues.

The Manchester United flop took to social media to fight against his critics, posting a photo of him celebrating scoring the winning penalty in his side’s Copa America quarter-final win over Colombia.

He added the words: “They profited, they healed, they talked “sh*t about me. And I stayed quiet. They slandered, they even locked in on me, but there is a judge up above (there is one up there).”

The quotes are lyrics from the song ‘Delincuente’ (Delinquent) by Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Farruko.

Sanchez, 30, has been slammed for his poor performance since signing for Manchester United from Arsenal in January 2018 but he has shown good form for his country at this summer’s tournament scoring two goals in the group stage as well as the decisive penalty in the shootout win over Colombia.

Holders Chile now face Peru on Wednesday night in the semi-finals of the tournament while hosts Brazil will face bitter rivals Argentina on Tuesday.
