This is the moment a Malaysian man has his hair cut like a medieval monk after daring netizens that he would adopt the unusual look if he received over a million comments.

Malaysian netizen Mohammad Rafiezulanwar Jaffri, 24, posted a photo of another man sporting the same ‘monk’ look and dared readers: “If I get a million comments, I will cut my hair like this but I know it won’t happen.”

However, he was wrong and the post clocked up a million comments on 29th April, forcing Mohammad to carry out his end of the bargain.

During a 90-minute live stream, the netizen put on a bin bag around his shoulders and allowed pals to sheer his mop.

Mohammad posted images of his new hairstyle and said that it was all in the name of entertainment.

He also promised to keep it for a few days after many netizens asked him not to shave it off just yet.

He wrote: “Thank you for commenting tirelessly and sharing my post until it reached one million comments!”

“This was just for entertainment and if I ever said anything wrong, please forgive me. Also, remember to stay at home!”
