4yo Boy Freed After Trapping Head Between Glass Doors

This is the moment firefighters help a distressed mother free her young child who has accidentally trapped his head between the hinges of two shopping centre glass doors.

The boy, four, is seen crying from fright as his face swells and turns red at the entrance of the Colour City shopping centre in the city of Bozhou in East China’s Anhui Province.

The tot mum’s, who has not been named in reports, said she and her boy were playing by the glass doors when he stuck his head into the narrow gap between the two hinges.

As he moved the doors, the gap closed on his neck, and he became jammed and was unable to pull himself free.

After his mum and shopping centre staff were unable to free him, the local fire service was called to assist, bringing with them a hydraulic expansion tool.

In the video, rescuers and the boy’s mum can be seen shielding the boy’s head while another firemen prises apart the two steel door frames using the heavy-duty tool.

The child is freed in a matter of minutes and reunited with his relieved him.

The boy was not harmed, but it is unclear whether his family will be asked to pay for the door’s repairs.
