This cute three-year-old boy has allegedly been killed by his mum and her boyfriend who are accused of causing burns and bruises to 80 percent of the tot’s body.

The incident took place on 3rd June in the locality of Kennedy in the central Colombian capital Bogota.

The boy was taken to an urgent treatment centre in the city by his mother and her boyfriend where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival, according to reports.

Doctors said that 80 percent of the boy’s body was covered in burns and bruises, and they called the police who arrived to arrest the suspects.

According to reports, an angry group of neighbours tried to lynch the couple as they allegedly tried to smuggle the boy out of the house in a sheet.

Neighbours told local media that the couple beat the young boy mercilessly and believe they are responsible for his death.

The suspects were arrested and brought before a judge where they reportedly admitted their guilt and were formally charged with the boy’s homicide.

They are currently being held on remand as a date is set for the trial.

The victim has a four-year-old sister who is in the care of social services, according to reports.
