This is the moment a cruel woman attacks her gran so violently that her boob pops out of her dress as she forces the older woman’s head under cold running water.

The 31-year-old woman from the city of Pietermaritzburg in the eastern South African province of KwaZulu-Natal was arrested after the footage reportedly taken by another family member was widely shared online.

In the video, the 63-year-old gran is seen being pushed, shouted at and forced under a running tap of cold water by her granddaughter.

The elderly woman’s niece said that she feels as though she has “failed” her aunt by not posting the videos sooner.

She told local media: “I would have uploaded the video sooner if it wasn’t for the threats by relatives.”

The 20-year-old claimed that there are at least three protection orders taken out against the granddaughter.

She said the suspect controls her grandmother’s money and forces her to hand much of it over.

The niece added: “She gets angry when she drinks or uses drugs and humiliates us in front of others. She destroys property or things that we care about.”

Social worker Weziwe Thusi confirmed that an investigation is underway and they have helped the elderly victim to open a case of emotional abuse and assault.

She said: “I don’t understand what possesses a young person to commit such an act of cruelty against a helpless older person.

“I wish to personally thank the person who recorded the video because they have made it easier for the police.”

Police spokesman Thembeka Mbele said that the granddaughter, who has been charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, is due to appear in court this week.
