This CCTV footage shows a young woman collapsing on the floor covered in blood after allegedly being stabbed in her bed by a man who she rejected.

The footage shot on cameras mounted in the house show the alleged attacker, identified as 23-year-old Gao Zewen, holding a knife as he sneaks around the home where the girl, identified only by her surname of Ma, was living with her family.

He is careful to avoid any other family members before finally entering her room – where he reportedly fatally stabbed her before fleeing.

The young woman’s screams alerted other members of the family, and they pursue him and grab onto him as he tries to leave the doorway.

As they struggle with the armed man, the young woman, 23, staggers into the middle of the room, then collapses to the floor.

She is initially seen moving but eventually lies still. Medics rushed to the property around 1:30 AM, but all they could do was confirm the young woman had died.

Chaoyang police confirmed that they had arrested Gao Zewen and that Ma had died before they could take her to hospital.

A family member told local media that is because she had been stabbed seven times, with four of the wounds to her chest all potentially fatal.

Ma’s father also spoke to the media saying that he had never seen the young man before, and that he had never been to the house adding: “It’s all so cruel.” 

Police said that during questioning the alleged attacker had admitted killing her, saying that she had rejected his advances and as a result he had decided to exact revenge.
