Zipline Fail As Lightweight Woman Gets Stuck Midway

This is the moment a woman was left stranded 100 metres in the air when the zipline she was travelling on suddenly jammed.

The incident happened at a scenic spot located in Benxi, which is a prefecture-level city located in the east of China’s Liaoning Province, south-southeast of the provincial capital Shenyang on 5th April.

This footage was shared online by another tourist who noted that the woman was stuck mid-air after apparently being tonight to make the ride go all the way to the end.

Local media reported that anybody using a zipline needs to have at least 80 kg (176 lbs) and no more than 180 kg (396 lbs), and the woman who got stuck apparently weighed less.

Staff were on site however managed to safely rescue the person without incident apart from the fact that she had been terrified.

Online commentators weighed in on the story with Miao Jian saying: “I hope the woman escapes safely! Scenic spots should strengthen safety measures.”

And another named ‘black flame’ said: “I thought she was on a high voltage line.”
