This is the moment a young, pretty Brazilian rapper shows the shocking injuries she received as a result of abuse, but declined to name who was responsible.
MC Braganca, real name Leticia Braganca, took to Instagram Stories to show her shocking injuries to her 1.4 million followers.
In the video footage she posted of herself, the 21-year-old rapper, YouTuber and model can be seen with bloodied lips and cuts to the face.
The Brazilian also posted photos of herself with a bruised cheek and a bloodshot eye, and she told her followers she had been the victim of abuse since 2019 on Tuesday, 10th August.
She did not specify who had caused the violence, though netizens speculated it was probably at the hands of her presumed boyfriend, whose identity is unknown.
She wrote: “I’ve always been silent, years of being beaten up in silence. But now I won’t keep quiet anymore. I won’t accept this anymore.”
The rapper received an outpouring of support, including from model Daniela Burgarelli, who commented on one of her photos: “You’re not alone, many people love and admire you.”
MC Braganca has a YouTube channel with 13,500 subscribers where she documents her day-to-day life and posts life tips.
Her August 2020 song ‘Mustang’ – a collaboration with MC Mirella – has racked up 2.2 million views on YouTube to date.
MC Braganca did not say whether she had filed a police report over the aggression, and it is not clear if the police are looking into the case.
