The world’s hottest weather girl Yanet Garcia has reportedly been detained on arrival at the airport in her home city in Mexico after visiting Europe to promote her new film.

However, the curvaceous 28-year-old was only stopped for trying to ‘smuggle’ in a small amount of Serrano ham for loved ones.

The beautiful Mexican, who presents the weather on the daytime TV show ‘Hoy’ (‘Today’), announced that she was stopped at Mexico City International Airport in the country’s capital on social media.

According to local media, customs officials detained her after finding perishable goods in her suitcase and they disposed of the offending products, which was confirmed to be Serrano ham for her friends and relatives.

Posting to Instagram Stories, Garcia said: “At Mexico City airport, they confiscated my Serrano ham that I brought for everyone. Why when it was only to share [with others] and wasn’t anything bad?”

Garcia had been in Spain to promote the release of her new Spanish-speaking movie ‘Bellezonismo’ which premiered in Barcelona last week.

Dubbed ‘the world’s hottest weather girl’ by international media, Garcia wowed the red carpet in a stunning pink gown while attending the glitzy premiere.

In an Instagram post liked by 120,000 people, Garcia posed on the red carpet in a revealing pink feathery dress.

She reportedly attended the Barcelona premiere with her American boyfriend, 36-year-old Lewis Howes.

After spending a couple of days in Catalonia, Garcia and Howes flew to Madrid where she shared a video of her swimming in a hotel pool.
