This badly-bruised young woman has reported her boyfriend to the police for frequently beating her in jealous rages for over a year.

Bernarda Noboa, 21, from the town of Larroque in the north-eastern Argentine province of Entre Rios, shared photos of her injuries on social media.

She has accused her ex-boyfriend, identified as B.R., of repeatedly beating since October 2018.

Local media said the suspect has had a restraining order issued against him as a precautionary measure while the investigation is ongoing.

Noboa wrote on social media: “Well over a year ago, my ex-boyfriend started beating me and three days ago I finally decided to report him.”

As well as photos of her facial injuries, the young woman posted a snap of a man sticking his foot in her face as they lie in bed.

She claimed that her former partner’s jealous rages started in October 2018 after she went to university in another city.

Noboa said: “I came back in 2019 because he did not like me travelling.

“One night we were coming home from a nightclub when he suddenly bit me and ran away. He told me the next day that he did not remember anything. I believed him because we had drunk a lot.”

Noboa said: “There was a point in which I believed I would not be able to overcome what was happening to me, and the only solution was death. I look at myself in the mirror and could not recognise myself.

“My parents tried to file a complaint against him, but they were told nothing could be done if I did not report it myself.”

Reports said that the regional Attorney General’s Office has launched an investigation to determine if the case will go to court.
