Woman Narrowly Escapes Death After Causing Electric Blast While Charging Electric Car

The video shows a woman narrowly escaping getting electrocuted while charging her electric vehicle in the front yard of her house.

Surveillance camera footage showed the woman plugging in her electric car in her home. In the city of Bozhou, located in China’s northwestern Anhui province, at around 6pm on 20th January.

But just seconds later she can be seen leaving the spot and running several feet away after realising that the charging point was about to burst into flames.

After the blast, she approached the vehicle in order to check the damage.

The video promoted a wave of comments on China’s sister app for TikTok, Douyin. After the woman, identified as ‘Internet suppression story’ on the platform shared it later that day.

She said: “I almost sent myself flying after charging the battery car.

“You must pay attention to safety when charging electric cars. Surprise, surprise, look at this scene caught by surveillance cameras.”

Douyin user ‘Sweet Lala (National Franchise)’ said: “Thanks to her quick eyesight and quick legs. Otherwise she would have been injured.”

Then user ‘Rejected many times on blind dates’ commented: “It’s not even Chinese New Year yet and you’re already setting off fireworks.”

And ‘That’s hard to calm down’ added: “Is your home not covered by insurance?”
