A young Italian woman has admitted that she has surgically modified her body over 20 times in order to become a “human cat” and claims she even hopes to get a tail soon.
Chiara Dell’Abate, better known by her feline alter ego, Aydin Mod, has sparked the curiosity of millions of TikTok users with her transformation.
Chiara said it is her dream to look like a cat and has undergone more than 20 body modifications to achieve the look.
The list includes nose piercings, upper lip piercings, inner lip piercings and a split tongue.
And it did not stop there. She also had blepharoplasty, a type of cosmetic surgery to remove excess skin or fat from the eyelids.
She has also gotten eyeball tattoos, pointed ears, permanent eyeliner, forehead implants, and claw-shaped nails.
Chiara told Italian media: “I think becoming a cat is more appropriate for me since I don’t want to look like a cartoon character.
“I’ve always loved cats, and I think I’ll look very bold and fierce as a cat with the right body modifications.”
Chiara began modifying her body at the age of 11, when she got a piercing and stretched both her ears.
Since then, she has not stopped undergoing various procedures, despite Internet users calling her “disturbed” or “psychotic”.
But she claps back with the words: “Go ahead. Harass me until it makes me more famous.”
In one TikTok video, she appears with her eyes completely tattooed black and she splits her tongue into two parts, then inserts it into the two holes in her cheeks.
In another clip, 22-year-old Chiara sticks her split tongue at the camera while displaying tattoos reminiscent of a cat’s fur, which extend along her torso and frame her face full of piercings.
And although her look attracts attention and even shock, she claimed she does not plan on stopping there, and wants to undergo more body modifications.
Chiara said: “To achieve a complete feline appearance, I will need a cat eye lift or a canthoplasty (surgery to produce elongated and naturally almond-shaped eyes), teeth remodelling, upper lip reduction, and more fillers.”
The young woman added that she also hopes to get a cat tail soon, though did not reveal how she plans on doing that.
Despite the negative comments, Chiara highlighted that she is also approached by people who find her inspiring.
For her, the bodily modifications and transformations are just symbols of self-expression and freedom.
