This is the moment a woman drives her car straight into a hole in a factory floor while attempting to do a U-turn and rolls the car onto its roof.

Footage from Pinghu City in China’s eastern Zhejiang Province shows driver Ms Yang entering the newly built factory and trying to use the space to turn the vehicle around.

However, she fails to notice the hole in the ground and drops her SUV straight into the concrete recess on the afternoon of 12th October.

In the video, Ms Yang’s vehicle lands sideways in the 5-foot-deep hole and ends up resting on its left side.

Her husband, who had been waiting outside, runs inside and opens the passenger-side door before lifting her to safety.

According to the police, Ms Yang had on her seat belt and was thankfully largely unharmed during the crash apart from minors cuts to her hand and face.

She and her husband had been hired by the paper factory’s owners to install new windows on the premises.

The couple had completed the job and were on their way home when Ms Yang attempted the U-turn inside the paper plant and fell into the hole instead.

Ms Yang said she did not see the hole because it was too dark inside.

It is unclear how long it took to free their car from the recess.
