This is the moment a woman breaks a bull’s spinal bone with her fist in front of amazed wedding guests.

The incident took place at a wedding where Dilma Yerbaeva, who is from a small village named Zagustay located in Kizhinginsky district of the Republic of Buryatia, southern Russia, was invited.

Local media report a competition to break a bull’s spinal bone was announced at the wedding and Yerbaeva stood up to wow the other guests.

In the video, Yerbaeva, who breaks bovine bones with her bare hands at a professional level, can be seen taking the piece of the spine in her hand and she begins hitting it with her right fist.

With her fist wrapped in black, she continues pounding at the bone with her right fist whilst swinging it with her left before it snaps in half to loud cheers from the wedding guests.

When contacted by local media Yerbaeva said: “It was a hobby for me before to break the bones but last year I started practising it on a professional level. Now I often participate in different contests but would never have thought that this time the video would spread on social media.”

Spinal bone breaking is a national sport for Buryat people, where breaking a bone one the first attempt is considered a sign of true strength.

Yerbaeva says she first participated in a bone-breaking contest last year finishing in third place among female participants but she is now getting ready for another competition and is targeting first place.
