A crafty dad from central China showed off his brilliant brainwave for minding his one-year-old baby by carrying it inside a tote bag while he whips up a stir fry.

The child’s mother, named Ms Shi in local media in the city of Luoyang, Henan Province, caught her husband red-handed before he could finish preparing the food on 29th November.

She said she was very angry at first but soon burst out laughing at the bizarre scene.

Instead of scolding her husband for his unconventional parenting, Ms Shi decided to film him in action.

And the video shows their one-year-old child calmly sitting inside the large tote bag that dad has slung around his back away from the kitchen hob.’

The dad later explained that he was scared of carrying the child in his arms while cooking on the hot stove.

So he decided to place it inside a bag and wear it so that he could keep a close watch on the baby.

And the baby does not seem to be uncomfortable as it giggles along with mum’s laughter.

Ms Shi later shared the video on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

User ‘Bai Chick’ commented: “At this moment, I just want to say: as long as the mind does not slip, there are always more solutions than difficulties! Give the child’s father a thumbs up.”
