Wind Topples Water Heater Which Almost Flattens Trio

This is the moment a group of three people ‘braving the storm’ are nearly crushed by a water heater after strong winds blew it from a building’s roof.

The incident was filmed by CCTV cameras in the city of Jinhua, Zhejiang Province, China, on the 5th of May and later uploaded to Douyin, China’s version of TikTok.

The video begins by showing a woman attempting to shield herself with her umbrella from the strong winds during the erratic weather.

Her child also appears, taking shelter behind an umbrella as well.

Another woman also is then seen entering the frame on a side street of the city’s residential area.

Suddenly, it appears one of the women notices that something is plummeting down from the nearby building and attempts to warn the others.

All three take a step back as a large water heater along with its related installation, is seen crashing down a mere inches in front of them.

As the footage ends, the “lucky” pedestrians are seen going in the opposite direction, visibly shaken by the incident.

It appears that none of them suffered any injuries.

Netizens were relieved that the passers-by came out of the incident unscraped but were concerned about the safety measures undertaken by companies when installing such objects.

Douyin user titled “Everything is edible” commented: “The solar energy [heater] must be fixed with steel wire ropes, and it must be filled with water on windy days.”
