A heavily-tattooed man and wife dubbed the ‘Human Satan’ and ‘Demoness’ have thanked God for the former’s discharge from hospital following a life-saving operation.
Body-modification addict Michel Faro Praddo, 46, was admitted to hospital in the Brazilian city of Santos to undergo corrective surgery after the wound from his prior tummy tuck that was also designed to remove his navel reopened.
His wife, Carol, who is also a fan of body modifications, revealed he was discharged from hospital on Saturday, 10th July after doctors successfully resealed the 40-centimetre- (16-in-) long cut two days earlier.
Carol, who is dubbed the ‘Demoness’, told news site G1: “He’s now at home, thank God. The surgery went well. Now it’s just a matter of waiting and resting.
“Words cannot describe the fear I felt, only thinking the worst could happen. He’s the cornerstone of this story I call my life.
“He’s ecstatic with the love he’s received. I believe the world hugged our family. The world felt the pain he felt. We received help from all over the world, and the best cure came from prayers.”
Despite his devilish demeanour, Michel previously raised eyebrows when he admitted he believed in God earlier this month.
He said at the time: “I believe in God as a source of power, love, wisdom and various attributes that nurture life as a whole.”
Both Michel and his wife have nearly their entire bodies including their eyes tattooed, and they are known for their extensive body modifications including ‘horns’ implanted in their foreheads.
Michel has also had part of his nose, his ears and his ring finger surgically removed in addition to having silver dentures fitted.
He has undergone liposuction and a tummy tuck during which his belly button was removed. However, he experienced intense pain after the stitches he received in the op ruptured.
Before his admission to hospital, he had struggled to move and had to remain lying down in bed.
The couple of 10 years managed to pay for Michel’s corrective surgery after his wife launched an online fundraiser, which hit its target in 24 hours.
Michel’s goal is to enter the Guinness World Records as the most modified man in the world. He has undergone 66 body modifications and tattooed 85 percent of his body.
