This is the shocking moment a popular DJ is caught beating up his wife in front of their baby daughter and other adults.

The footage, captured by internal security cameras, shows how DJ Ivis, real name Iverson de Souza Araujo, brutally lashes out at his now-estranged wife Pamella Holanda.

The footage shows how he punches his then-partner and pulls her hair in front of their baby daughter and other adults inside their home in the Brazilian city of Fortaleza.

It is unclear when the footage dates from. However, the victim posted the incriminating videos on social media on 11th July.

Production company Vybbe, to which Araujo is signed, said that it has since dropped the DJ in a statement posted to Instagram, in which it “reiterate(d) its values of respect for women”.

DJ Ivis has 945,000 followers on Instagram and 986,000 subscribers on YouTube. His song ‘Esquema Preferido’ (‘Favourite Scheme’) from seven months ago has 78 million views to date.

In addition to the video footage, Pamella also posted photos showing the injuries all over her body that she suffered from the beatings.

The architect and influencer reported 29-year-old Araujo to the police on 3rd June, a couple of days after a beating.

The police subsequently requested the Judiciary to grant the victim a restraining order against the DJ, who has since taken to social media to claim: “I always tried to do everything so that it didn’t go to the extreme”.

He added “nothing can justify my reaction, but I couldn’t put up with any more threats” and also remarked that netizens “are commenting on things they don’t know about”.

The DJ claimed his wife threatened to leave him and take their young daughter with her. He said he has since left the home himself and is paying for all his daughter’s expenses.

The case is under police investigation.
