A train security guard in uniform is allegedly filmed taking upskirt photos of a woman standing next to him and he has now been fired over the incident.
The incident was snapped on an underground train in the city of Guangzhou, capital of South China’s Guangdong Province, on 17th December.
In the video, the uniformed male officer in charge of passenger security and safety can be seen standing by one of the train car doors.
His victim stands directly to his left and is reportedly too distracted by her own phone to notice that the guard is apparently snapping upskirt photos of her using his own device.
Throughout the footage, the officer keeps his mobile phone by her thigh and appears to be clicking the shutter button with his thumb.
In a statement released just two hours after the witness’s initial post, Guangzhou Metro said it had investigated the upskirt picture claims and found grounds to dismiss the employee on grounds of misconduct.
The guard, who is reportedly outsourced through a private security company, was not named.
The public transport provider said the suspect was handed over to local police, but it was unclear whether any incriminating photos were found on his phone.
