This is the moment an underage driver without a licence hits a 10-year-old boy on his bike sending him flying.

The startling incident occurred in the Kepez district of Antalya province in Turkey as 10-year-old Arda K. was crossing the road on his bike.

In the video, he can be seen riding across the road but he appears to fail to spot an oncoming car and he cannot stop in time to avoid a collision.

The car, reportedly being driven by a 17-year-old without a licence identified by the initials B.K., smashes into the bike and Arda is sent flying through the air.

Onlookers then rush to the scene and reports state they used umbrellas to shade him from the sun whilst they waited for an ambulance to arrive.

Another clip shows him lying on the ground being treated by paramedics who took him to a nearby hospital. Reports state he suffered fractures to his arms and legs.

The driver is said to have stayed at the scene for a short while before fleeing and he later handed himself in at a police station to give a statement. The legal driving age in Turkey is 18 years old.

The police investigation into the incident is ongoing. It is unclear if the underage driver has been arrested.
