Ukrainian Forces Destroy Russian Artillery Battery On Frontlines

These images show Ukrainian drones hitting a Russian artillery battery on the frontline near Avdiivka.

The footage shows the Russian artillery battery being hit and destroyed by the Ukrainian kamikaze drones.

The images were obtained from the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine of Ukraine, on Wednesday, 6th March, along with a statement saying: “The Russian artillery battery was completely destroyed.

“At night, on the outskirts of Avdiivka, scouts discovered an artillery battery of the occupiers: four D-30 howitzers and two more D-20s. All six survived only until the morning when they met a flock of our FPV strike drones.”

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 7th March 2024. Russia had lost approximately 421,430 personnel, 6,695 tanks, 12,779 armoured combat vehicles, 10,350 artillery units, 1,009 multiple launch rocket systems. 701 air defence systems, 347 warplanes, 325 helicopters, 7,963 drones, 1,919 cruise missiles, 26 warships, 1 submarine, 13,532 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,647 units of special equipment.

Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has said that the Ukrainian military is stabilising the battlefield and preparing units for future counter-offensives.

Some military units are being withdrawn and their combat readiness is being restored, he said.

A Russian missile exploded near Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and visiting Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Odesa, Ukraine.
