Two men have been arrested in Switzerland after the police uncovered a secret drug lab and two illegal indoor cannabis plantations inside a shop.
Cops from the Zurich Cantone Police reportedly caught the Swiss citizen, aged 29, and the Serbian national, aged 51, along with the illegal production site in a shop in the municipality of Daellikon, in the city of Zurich, Switzerland.
The final police operation that preceded thorough investigations was carried out on Monday, 20th February.
Zurich Cantone Police spokesperson Ralph Hirt said in a statement obtained by Newsflash from the Cantone of Zurich on Wednesday (22nd February): “After intensive investigations, detectives from the Zurich Cantone Police checked the premises of a shop in an industrial district.
“They came across two cannabis indoor facilities and a drug laboratory for synthetic narcotics.”
The cops reportedly seized a total of 14 kilogrammes (30.8 lbs) of ecstasy, nine kilogrammes (19.8 lbs) of amphetamine, 3.5 kilogrammes of cannabis (7.7 lbs) and several hundred Swiss francs in cash.
They also detected and secured several litres of highly expensive chemicals used for synthetic drug manufacturing, which were later destroyed by experts.
Meanwhile the two offenders were taken to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in the city of Winterthur where they will face legal consequences.
