This is the moment a Turkish man shows off his ‘magnetic’ body skills while saying the Guinness World Record holder should recognise him as the true winner as he can attract more spoons as well as lots of different materials.

Suleyman Demirci, age not disclosed, who lives in the district of Karasu in the Turkish province of Sakarya, is known locally as ‘the most attractive man in town’.

He told local media that he first noted his unusual talent by accident in 2014: “While lighting a cigarette, the lighter fell and stuck to my body. That’s when I first noticed this skill I have, and I’ve had it ever since.

“Silver, gold, glass, stone, coins, metal spoons, and many other materials stick to my body.”

He claimed: “It’s not only metal. Bring wood, plastic, whatever it is, my body holds it.”

Demirci shared a video on social media of various different objects apparently sticking to his body like a magnet.

In the footage, he is seen placing an eggplant, a plastic bag, a knife, a glass plate, and other objects on his chest.

He also called out a rival and Guinness World Record holder, saying: “Etibar Elche Marneuli, of Azerbaijani origin, entered the Guinness Book of Records by holding 50 spoons.”

Demirci claimed “I tried it once, and my body held 90 spoons”, adding: “I invite the Guinness Book of Records team to my town to watch me beat him. Let’s see what I can do in the presence of officials.

“Many people are surprised when they see me do it. It’s a pretty strange thing. I can’t explain it, maybe scientists can?”

It is unclear if the ‘attractive’ Turkish man intends to make an official bid to challenge for the record.
