A top doctor has been jailed for rape and assault leading to death of his 38-year-old lover after he put cocaine on his private parts and the victim’s husband and son are reportedly suing for damages.

Dr Andreas David Niederbichler, 45, was jailed for nine years for aggravated rape and bodily harm leading to death after making his blonde lover, identified only as Yvonne M., 38, take cocaine by putting it on his private parts.

She was not his only victim, as the court in Magdeburg, a city located in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, heard that Dr Niederbichler put cocaine on his foreskin before having vaginal, anal and oral sex with three other women between September 2015 and February 2018. Prosecutors said he also secretly put cocaine in glasses of champagne, their lipstick, and their toothpaste.

Niederbichler, who was compared to Fifty Shades of Grey character Christian Grey, had been working as a head physician at the Ameos Clinic for Plastic, Aesthetic and Hand Surgery in Halberstadt in the east-central German state of Saxony-Anhalt and prior to that was appointed head physician for Plastic, Aesthetic and Hand Surgery at the Dessau Municipal Hospital.

He met Yvonne on a dating website and the court heard that while sex was consensual, the oral sex where she ended up with the cocaine in her mouth was not.

He is now being sued by Yvonne’s widowed husband and son who are looking for compensation as well as trying to force the former top doctor to pay for funeral costs, something which he has so far refused to do.

However, as the civil case got underway, he had clearly changed his mind, telling local newspaper Bild that saying nothing had allowed his accusers to say whatever they wanted without contradiction.

He said that meant the judge only listened to them and that had resulted in him being jailed.

He told the newspaper: “Yes, there were drugs, but I didn’t give them any drugs without them knowing about it. I was looking for a kick, and they were taking part as well.”

He said that Yvonne was an experienced cocaine user, and was looking for a lawyer to have the verdict overturned.

He added: “I want to prove that it wasn’t a criminal act the resulted in the tragic death of Yvonne.”
