This is the brazen moment when a woman steals an expensive jacket from a clothes store by rolling it up and stuffing it between her legs under her dress.

The incident was caught on CCTV at a Tommy Hilfiger store in Praiamar Shopping – a shopping centre in Santos, Brazil – at around 8pm on Thursday, 16th June.

The footage shows how the woman takes the jacket worth BRL 1,300 (GBP 200) and places it between her legs while the till attendant is apparently distracted.

The woman and her accomplice left the store moments later.

When the incident was discovered, it was reported to the police, but no arrests had been made at the time of reporting.

A sales attendant told officers that the two women seen in the footage had entered the store and one had asked to try on a shoe.

It was when the attendant was fetching the item from the storeroom that the unusual theft was carried out.

The police are trying to ascertain the women’s identities.
