This woman has found true love despite suffering from brittle bone disease and being only three feet tall with a boyfriend who is nearly twice her height.

Yana Gromovich, 27, suffers with Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), also known as brittle bone disease, a group of genetic disorders that mainly affect the bones but also weaken muscles and can result in bone deformities and growth issues, according to local media.

The young woman from the city of Kopeysk in the south-western Russian region of Chelyabinsk Oblast reportedly weights just 25 kilogrammes (3.9 stone) and stands at 3’3” tall.

Gromovich’s condition means she finds it hard to walk by herself and she needs to use a wheelchair for her daily activities.

However, the young woman is a senior consultant with a cosmetics company who boasts a loving long-term boyfriend who she lives with.

The 27-year-old OI sufferer lives with Vladimir, 19, who she met at a party several years ago.

Yana said she liked the younger man the first time she saw him across the room because “he had something special about him”.

The couple has shared a home for the last 18 months and they are said to be very affectionate with each other.

Yana said: “Theoretically, I can get around in a wheelchair okay, but it causes me a lot of pain so I feel more comfortable in his hands.

“I normally cook on the kitchen table where he puts all the ingredients, and Vladimir takes care of the rest of the jobs around the house.”

According to local media, the couple currently makes ends meet with Yana’s job and disability allowance. Vladimir is currently doing odd jobs and wants to become a lorry driver in the near future.

One of the most famous examples of OI is the character Elijah Price, better known as Mr Glass, played by Samuel L. Jackson in the M. Night Shyamalan films ‘Unbreakable’ (2000) and ‘Glass’ (2019).
