Tinder Doctor Sentenced To 14 Years For Supplying Victims With Drugs And Then Sexually And Physically Abusing Them

An anesthesiologist on Tinder who supplied three women with drugs, sexually assaulted one of them and attempted to beat another to death has been sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Gerardo Billiris, an anesthesiologist based in Buenos Aires, was sentenced to 14 years in prison by an Argentinian court for attempted homicide, gender-based violence and supply of narcotics yesterday (15th September).

According to the court, Billiris committed the crimes against three women between 2012 and 2017.

One of his victims was Belen Torres who was the first victim to bring get the authorities to investigate Billiris by posting images of the abuse she suffered online, leading to Billiris’ arrest on January 31st, 2017.

Belen, whose age was not stated, first met Billiris online via the popular dating app Tinder, in 2017, and after exchanging a few messages he offered her a job as a secretary at his clinic in Buenos Aires.

Initially, Belen assumed that it was some sort of scam but after visiting the office and meeting Billiris in person she accepted the job.

The local news site TN reports that not long after starting her new position, she was working late one night her new boss suggested that they take drugs together.

Belen allegedly took some convincing but accepted the offer and the doctor supplied her with the prescription medication.

Billiris reportedly reacted badly to the prescription drugs and suffered from a fit and Belen tried to help her boss, who after recovering from the reaction attacked her.

As seen in the images she posted online the punches and kicks to her face resulted in extreme swelling and black eyes.

The beating went on for several minutes but eventually, Belen managed to get away and crawled into the corridor where a witness helped her get to the hospital for treatment.

She later posted the pictures of her injuries on Twitter which were sent to the authorities who began to investigate Billiris.

Belen was contacted by scores of other women who claimed they had been abused by the suspect but in the end, he was only convicted for his abuse of two others.

Billiris was convicted for sexually abusing Luciana Arguelles, after supplying her with drugs and also of supplying drugs to Belen De Mattia.

The relationship between Billiris and the two other victims was not made public.

The court handed the doctor a 14-year sentence for the crimes he committed against the three women.

It was not revealed if Billiris plans to appeal the sentence.
