This is the moment a man stamps on a cat’s head squashing the moggie’s noggin and covering the walls in blood.

The incident was filmed by a CCTV camera in the city of Zhenjiang in the eastern Chinese province of Jiangsu when the suspect attacked a cat called Sanhua that belonged to a nearby restaurant owner.

The shocking footage shows a cat struggling on the ground as the thug stands over it.

He then places the cat in front of him and stamps on its head before picking up the limp animal and raising it above his head to slam on the ground.

However, he appears to hear a noise and momentarily stops torturing the feline.

Another scene shows the building’s stairs and walls covered in the cat’s blood.

A local resident said: “I was going down stairs and smelled blood everywhere. I had no idea it was cat’s blood until a woman told me the truth.”

According to reports, Sanhua was loved by the local community and was considered a feature at the restaurant where it lived.

The female cat also recently gave birth to two kittens which need daily care.

The police were alerted to the incident and checked the building’s CCTV footage while local activist Meiguixin claimed that the same man has been abusing cats for several months.

Meiguixin said: “He has killed seven cats in Tianhe Xingcheng and Jingrun Guoji, it is the same person!”

PETA Asia press officer for China, Keith Guo told Asia Wire:”It’s another tragic incident that shows China needs animal protection laws.

“History is replete with serial killers whose violent tendencies were first directed at animals. Communities must recognise that abuse to any living being is unacceptable and endangers everyone.

“PETA urges the police to find the cat killer and punish him for the sake of public security.”
