This is the moment a thief on a motorbike snatches a little boy’s phone from his hand while the young lad urinates outside his home.

The incident happened in the district of Cengkareng in the south-western Indonesian capital Jakarta.

According to reports, the suspect was a motorcycle taxi rider in West Jakarta who has since been fired after his bosses at the firm he worked for, called Grab Driver, learned about the footage.

In the shocking clip, the young boy is seen taking a pee in a ditch outside his home as the biker stops behind him and yanks the phone from his free hand.

The suspect then rides off as the stunned boy zips himself up and goes indoors to tell his parents.

The video ends with a man, apparently the boy’s father, stepping outside to check on the scene.

Grab Indonesia spokesman Andre Sebastian told local media that the biker has been identified and fired.

He said: “He was [dismissed] soon after we found out about this incident.”

Meanwhile, the local police have confirmed that they are also trying to find the suspect, who could face charges if detained.

The police investigation is ongoing.
