Chilean celebrity Joaquin Mendez, 30, was riding the roller coaster with TV host friend Karol Lucero, 31, during their holiday in the US city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Karol was clearly enjoying the fun, and can be seen laughing and joking in selfie footage he filmed on his smartphone. But his companion is clearly not so happy. Joaquin looks distinctly unwell as the roller coaster prepares to plunge down a sheer drop. At first he appears to be gritting his teeth to endure the sensation - then his head suddenly lolls onto his shoulder. And, as Karol continues to enjoy the thrilling ride, it appears that Joaquin has completely lost consciousness. Karol later shared the clip with his two million followers on Instagram with the comment: "Incredible! Joaquin fainted on a roller coaster." Joaquin had come to his senses by the time the ride ended but he looks disorientated and clutches his friend's arm for support. The footage made a big impression on social media, notching up more than 425,000 views in just two days. Netizen ‘katherineretamalescobar’ commented: "The face of Joaquin is so funny!", while ‘kervybarnier’ added: "Poor Joaquin, me and my friend always faint as well, it’s a lot of adrenaline." Joaquin came to fame on Chile's popular ‘Volverias Con Tu Ex?’ (‘Would You Go Back With Your Ex?’) reality TV show. He is now a panellist on the country's 'Mucho Gusto' morning TV show on which Karol is the host.
