This is the moment a nosy parker screams as she gets her fingers trapped in an electric gate while earwigging on a live TV interview being conducted with a neighbour outside her home.

The incident took place in the south-eastern Brazilian city of Sao Paulo and posted on Facebook where it has been viewed nearly three million times.

In the viral footage, a woman is seen being interviewed by a TV reporter as the electric gate of a home behind her slowly opens.

From behind the gate, an inquisitive woman suddenly appears to look at what is happening outside her home.

However, the electric gate starts to close on the nosy parker and she ducks inside but leaves her hand resting on the wall.

The TV interview is interrupted by the woman’s screams as the gate closes on her hand.

The interviewee then loses her thread as she turns to look at where the screams are coming from. Meanwhile, a female resident rushes over to help the trapped gossipmonger.

At the end of the footage, the woman is freed when the gate opens while the TV reporter makes a reference to the funny incident.
