These startling images show the moment a woman looked out of her bedroom in the middle of the night to find a man humping the front of her BMW with his pants down.

The events took place in Basel in north-western Switzerland when the unnamed owner of the vehicle was woken up by a male moan from the street at around 3:30 am.

She said that when she leaned out of her window to see what was going on, she noticed that a man was humping the front of the vehicle with his pants down.

She told local media: “The maniac had sex with my BMW.”

She says that the incident did not damage the BMW, but left marks.

The woman told reporters that she went to wash her car as soon as possible adding that she had never seen the young man in the neighbourhood before.

A friend of the owner of the car said: “I was shocked.”

The man’s behaviour fits with mechanophilia, a sexual attraction to machines such as bicycles, motor vehicles, helicopters, ships, and aeroplanes.

A famous case of the behaviour is that of a 30-year-old German woman identified as Michele Kobke who has been ‘in love’ with a Boeing 737 for five years.

The media reports that she calls the Boeing “Schatz”, which is German for ‘treasure’ and she says that she is in a relationship with the plane.
