This is the moment a driver rams another car in a road-rage incident but causes it to lose control and slam into an SUV which flips and is left spinning on its roof.

The dramatic incident was captured by a traffic camera in the city of Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei Province in North China, on the afternoon of 12th December.

In the footage, a Chinese-made silver Xiali saloon can be seen overtaking a white Ford Focus on the Heping Road viaduct.

The Ford owner then tries to overtake the Xiali but inexplicably rams it from the left-hand side, causing the silver car to lose control and hit the crash barrier to its right.

The vehicle then veers across the motorway, hitting the back of a Nissan SUV, which flips onto its roof and spins three times as the Ford owner drives off without stopping.

Traffic officer Chen Yunshao said two occupants in the Nissan were injured, one of them more seriously than the other.

They were taken to a local hospital for treatment, while the Xiali owner was detained for his part in the suspected road rage incident.

Officer Chen said: “The white Ford and silver Xiali were fighting over the same lane.

“After the Xiali driver overtook the Ford, the Ford owner forced his way past the Xiali.

“But before overtaking the Xiali, the Ford rams it and causes it to lose control.

“The Xiali hits the side of the viaduct, bounces back and slams into the innocent SUV driver.”

Chen said the Ford owner was summoned and arrested.

An investigation is ongoing, with none of the victims thought to be in any life-threatening condition.
