SUPERMARKET HORROR: Two-Year-Old Died When Locker Fell On Her

A two-year-old girl died when a supermarket locker fell on her head while she was playing with her brothers.

The shocking death took place at a Carrefour store on Gordon Street in Malaga on the Spanish Costa del Sol on 24th May.

According to reports, the girl was with her family when her mother went to pay at the checkout and the toddler started playing with her brothers at the entrance.

But as they played a locker at the entrance tumbled over and crushed the girl’s head.

The emergency services were informed around 5pm and first responders on the scene managed to stabilise the victim so she could be taken to the Maternal and Child Hospital in Malaga for further treatment.

However, despite the best efforts of hospital doctors, the toddler died of her serious head injury.

Local Police and National Police officers arrived at the supermarket to carry out an inspection and start the investigation into the girl’s death.

The police are also trying to establish what caused the locker to fall, with some reports stating that the girl was playing with a chain that may have caused the locker to fall.

The locker toppled towards the playing children and landed on the youngest sibling, causing the fatal head injury.

The investigation continues.
