This gorgeous TV presenter has had to undergo surgery on her face after it was badly disfigured when her ex broke into her house and attacked her, even apparently carving out his initial on her face.
Silvye Alves, who presents the true-crime programme Cidade Alerta Goias on Brazilian TV channel Record TV Goias, was attacked by her ex-boyfriend on Sunday, 20th June.
The attack, in which she suffered injuries to the lips, skin, muscle and mucous membrane, took place in front of her 11-year-old son at their home in the Brazilian city of Goiania.
The suspect has been identified as her ex-boyfriend, Ricardo Hilgenstieler, who was arrested but later released from preventive custody after he paid a bail bond of BRL 11,000 (GBP 1,612).
Footage filmed in the wake of the attack shows the presenter in tears as she shows a deep cut between her nose and upper lip in the shape of the letter ‘H’ to the camera.
It is not known if Hilgenstieler purposely carved his initial there or if it was a coincidence that the injury caused during the attack resembled the first letter of his surname.
The presenter underwent surgery the following morning. The operation was carried out by surgeon Rafael Meirelles and cost the presenter BRL 20,500 (GBP 3,004).
Hilgenstieler has been temporarily banned from leaving the country, though he has since returned to his home state of Santa Catarina. He will answer to charges of grievous bodily harm.
Hilgenstieler is a businessman and has no prior criminal record. The victim’s son, who witnessed the attack, is from a previous relationship.
According to reports, the incident took place after the suspect broke into his ex-girlfriend’s house and proceeded to punch, slap and kick her in front of her son.
Cops arrested him as he tried to board a flight at Goiania International Airport after fleeing the scene of the crime.
Silvye has since taken to Instagram to ask her 1.1 million followers to pray for her.
