This is the moment a stocky naked man takes on two truncheon-wielding Italian cops in the street in broad daylight.
The incident took place in the town of Erice in the province of Trapani located in the Italian island of Sicily and the footage was later shared on social media.
In the video, a stocky naked man is seen running at two truncheon-wielding cops in the middle of the street.
At one point, a cop manages to grab the chubby man by the shoulders, but he breaks loose and the officer appears reluctant to use his truncheon on the attacker.
The unnamed offender then continues to take on both officers before the video cuts.
According to local media, the naked man in the footage, who is in his 50s and has mental health issues, was first seen in the city of Palermo at around 6am.
He was sighted again in Erice a few hours later and the police were called to the scene.
Following a struggle, the cops managed to overpower the man and take him to the nearby Hospital S. Antonio Abate where he has reportedly been administered in the psychiatric ward.
