This is the moment a bus terminal staffer escapes a smelly demise when she flees her tiny ticket booth seconds before an out-of-control lorry smashes into the structure and destroys her toilet.

The crash was captured by traffic cameras on Zaotai Road in the city of Zaozhuang in China’s eastern Shandong Province on 28th April.

Footage shows the driver of the heavy goods vehicle careering towards the bus terminal, with the lone staff member sitting inside the small ticket booth on her own.

The driver veers the front of the lorry away at the last second, causing the side of the cabin and the trailer to slam into the booth, completely crushing half of it before stopping.

The video shows the booth door then opening and the female staff member running for dear life as dust and debris engulfs the BRT – or bus rapid transit – station.

Authorities say the booth’s toilet was destroyed, but the employee escaped unharmed – as did the lucky lorry driver who turned his cabin at the last moment.

No passengers were injured during the crash at roughly 7:30am local time, reports said.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.
