This is the moment a lorry that jumped a red light ploughs into a car sending it spinning along the busy street and killing a three-year-old girl.

The accident was filmed by a nearby CCTV in the district of Meram in the south-western Turkish province of Konya at around 12.30am when lorry driver Mustafa A. reportedly jumped a red light.

In the CCTV footage, the family car is seen turning left into the oncoming lorry’s path.

The heavy good vehicle crashes into the car head-on, sending it spinning down the road with half its front smashed in.

Both vehicles come to a stop in the road and a man is seen running over to help the occupants in the family car.

Turning into the lorry’s path was driver Hasan G., his wife Fatma G. and their three-year-old daughter Nisa G.

Motorists who witnessed the horror crash immediately called the emergency services, and paramedics treated the injured at the scene.

The family suffered serious injuries and they were rushed to a nearby hospital, however doctors were unable to save the young girl’s life.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested the lorry driver and launched an investigation into the accident
